The Shogun Mito Mitsukuni travels across Japan in disguise protected by his two bodyguards, the master swordsman Suke and the martial artist Kaku. The trio meets a spirited young boy named Sutemaru and his dog Dombee, who join them on their adventure. While traveling from place to place, they often discover the troubles the locals are going though and always intervene to help. With Suke's sword and Kaku's fists, no evildoer is safe from Mitsukuni's judgment.
